Employment history includes as an attorney with law firms of Bracewell and Giuliani and Thamm & Associates; Coordinator of Child Abuse Programs for Baltimore County, Maryland; Housing Counseling Coordinator for the Baltimore Regional Planning Council; and teacher in middle and secondary schools. Holds an MA in English from Middlebury College, a Certificate in Public Administration from Briarcliff College, and a JD from the University of Houston Law Center. |

| Joan I. Lynch, EdD FASHA, CCC-SLP (Term expires January 2008)
Vice President and Director; Chair, Board Development Committee. Retired Professor of Language Science at University of Texas Houston. Also held positions in the Graduate School of Biomedical Science, Dental School (oral and maxillofacial surgery), Medical School (pediatrics) and as Associate Director of Speech and Hearing Institute. Experience providing direct service to patients with communication disorders, teaching, administration, research and publishing, and private practice in Speech Pathology. Professional service includes board membership in national and local organizations. President of Texas Speech and Hearing Foundation. Community service includes boards of MHMRA-Houston-Harris County, Houston Area Women’s Center Guild, Center for Hearing and Speech, and Houston Speech and Hearing Clinic. Holds Ed.D. from Columbia University and M.A. from Northwestern University.

Formerly employed in the chemical and petroleum industry including twenty years with Kerr-McGee, where he served as Vice President. Serves on Board and is Treasurer of the Chinquapin School. Member, Christ Church Cathedral, served as Co-Chair of Community Life Council. Served two terms on the Vestry of St. Francis Episcopal Church, chairing the Finance and Stewardship Committees. Has served as president and treasurer of neighborhood association. Holds degree in chemical engineering from University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Stanford University.

Member of the State Bar of Texas, Legal Assistants Division. Volunteer Guardian Ad Litem with Child Advocates, Inc., the Harris County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program. Active member of Christ Church Cathedral; served on Cathedral Youth Ministry Council for 3 years (2000 – 2002). Teaches Woman’s Health, Social and Cultural Aspects of Healthcare, and ethnographic approaches to health research. Member, American Anthropological Association and numerous nursing organizations and boards. Holds a master’s degree from Texas Women’s University in Maternal-Child Health and a DrPH from the UTHSC-Houston School of Public Health. | 
| Dianne G. Foutch, MA (Term expires January 2008)
DIRECTOR; CHAIR, FUND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE. Executive Director, The Center for Hearing and Speech, with responsibility for overall management of this United Way agency. Accomplishments include streamlining departments, speech screening and therapy at three private schools, community screenings at indigent daycare programs, and collaboration with Community Partners to provide speech therapy to children in daycare and parent education to young mothers. Formerly held positions in Tucson, Arizona, including Director of Early Childhood and Prevention Services Coordinator at Desert Hills Hospital, and Director of Tucson Development Therapeutic Preschool. Community service includes the Stephens Ministry at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, and member of the boards of Family Service Center in Houston and the American Diabetes Association in Tucson. Holds an MA from the University of Phoenix in Tucson, Arizona, and has done graduate work in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston. |
